Catalogs & Databases
The Library is a member of the CLAMS (Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing) network, a consortium of public and academic libraries located on Cape Cod and the Islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Library patrons are able to use the CLAMS Library card at most of the libraries on the Cape and Islands.
It's easy to access CLAMS from your home computer at http://www.clamsnet.org . Simply direct your browser to the CLAMS web page. Here you may search and browse the
collections
of all
the libraries in theconsortium, find a link to
the Commonwealth's Virtual Catalog, and search subscription databases, such
as Infotrac, SIRS, and NEWSBANK. You may also request books to be delivered
to you to pick up at a specific library and check your library account. To
request books and check your account, you will need the barcode from the back
of your CLAMS library card and a PIN number. Obtain a PIN number by calling
your local CLAMS library. The
Library also offers reference service, interlibrary loans and reserves.
