Building
Fund
The
Library Gift fund was established by the Board of Library Trustees and the
Board of Selectmen in 2001. The Supporters of Provincetown Public Library is a 501(c)3, and is the primary
mechanism to raise funds to restore
the facade and grounds as well as complete outstanding portions of the Library,
such as the Lower Level and the Meeting Room.
Because donors sometimes wish to restrict a gift to a particular purpose, the
Trustees have also established an Exterior Gift Fund, a Landscaping Gift Fund,
and a Furniture Gift Fund. To date, the Trustees have raised almost $1.7 million
in private donations and gifts-in-kind. In addition, the Trustees must raise at least $60,000 annually
in order to meet their "mortgage payment" to the Town of Provincetown. Click
